anyone ever wonder why it's virtually impossible to get a decent job if you have a visible forearm tattoo?
does having a neck tattoo deem you imcompetent?
Why are tattoos considered taboo?
this is a world in which we're becoming somewhat more socially acceptable. you see more interracial relationships than ever before, but a female with a lower back tattoo is labeled as a "tramp" (tramp stamp). Tattoos are a form of personal expression!!!
just like the clothes you wear, or the way you style your hair.
So why are they basically ILLEGAL in the white collar industry? i remember i was going for an interview as a VZW sales associate, and the guy was sitting there staring at the tattoo on my wrist (at the time..since then faded) and i didn't get the job. i KNOW it wasn't my resume.
Do people judge you based on tattoos?
Let's think about it, you see this huge guy, big muscles, bald head and everything but both arms are COVERED in tattoos. would you be "scared" or stare? but if he was wearing a collared shirt and tie, would you be as "scared"? probably not.
SOOOOOOO close-minded, that no matter how qualified you are, if you have "Live,Love,Life", a simple inspirational message tattooed across your neck, you're already at a disadvantage smh..
